Flying: At just 40 minutes drive, Carcassonne is the closest airport to Montazels with Ryanair flights from London Stansted;  Dublin;  Cork; Liverpool; Bournemouth;   Nottingham;  Billund;  Eindhoven and Brussels airports.


There are Hertz & Eurocar car hire offices at Carcassonne airport, plus a shuttle bus (5 Euro), or Taxi (10 Euro) to the station for a train, (fare just 1 Euro), to Couiza/Montazels and then a 10 minute walk to the house.


Easyjet from London Gatwick to Toulouse, which is 90 minutes drive from the house.

Easyjet from Luton to Beziers (90 minutes drive).

Ryanair from London Stansted to Perpignan (1 hour drive).



Ferry/Drive: It takes roughly 9 hours to drive from Dieppe or Le Havre.


By Train:  from Waterloo to Couiza/Montazels via Paris, Toulouse & Carcassonne by SNCF.

Narbonne Plage - 75 minutes from the cottages. Castelnaudary on the Canal Midi - 55kms from the Montazels Skiing at Camurac - 40kms from the cottages The Harbour at Gruissan - 75 minutes from the cottages.
